Fibromyalgia Pain



Pain! The word produces a tingling sensation in the nerves as any type of pain is always related to total discomfort in the body affecting all the systems in the body. Nobody in this world can say that they have not experienced any kind of pain and do not know about its effects. You can also imagine about the sleepless nights tossing and turning in the bed trying to find relief from the pain.

Do you remember how your normal activities were hampered when you had a head ache or a stomach ache? You did not feel like doing anything not even your favorite pastime interested you. The only thought that occupied your mind was how to get relief from that pain. Then imagine the condition of the person who is suffering from Fibromyalgia pain.

Areas of Fibromyalgia Pain and its Effect

In fibromyalgia patients often feel the pain in the ligaments and muscles. Mostly the patient suffers from lower and upper back pain, headache, pain in the neck, shoulder and the elbow. Some may even suffer from ear pain and knee pain.

On the whole there is pain in the whole body just like the body pain that you experience when you are laid down with flu. In fibromyalgia the patients also complain of pain in many other forms like burning sensation, aching, stabbing and radiating pain.



This pain is continuous and so it affects the normal life of the patient. The family members and office people think that it is just a method of excuse as their efficiency level decreases due to the pain. In the morning while getting up most of the sufferers feel stiffness of joints which then turns into numbness and develops pain.

On the whole this pain affects the life of the person as other symptoms creep in and disturbs the whole functioning of the body. The tender points in the body become very painful and the patient may also feel that there is inflammation though in reality it is not visible.

Causes of Fibromyalgia Pain

The actual cause of this pain has not been discovered but doctors feel that it is due to the sensitiveness of the nerves which are known as neurotransmitters which pass on the signal to the brain about the pain in the body and the brain conveys the message to the body which makes the body feel the pain. So they say it is one type of nerve disorder which can be called a neurological problem.
