Fibromyalgia Medication

Since the causes of fibromyalgia are not specifically know, it follows that a defined course of fibromyalgia medication is varied. Doctors use a variety of fibromyalgia treatments because in general the causes are a set of unique symptoms.

It therefore it follows that for each fibromyalgia patient the treatment path becomes a set different medicines.

The major symptom experienced by patients is muscular pain. unfortunately for some the pain as well as being constant also can become unbearable at times. Therefore it follows that the most important treatment for this set of fibromyalgia symptoms is to allieviate this pain. In thje majority of cases pain killers are
prescibed and in small cases more potent drugs to treat the more severe problems.

Depression is a major side effect of the syndrome and antidepressants and to alleviate this symptom will play a major part in the patient’s recovery. They have also been found to reduce the fatigue because of helping with the depression.

As it has been discovered fibromyalgia is a disease which is unique in symptoms to the individual sufferer and therefore the fibromyalgia medication prescribed will be unique to that individual.

All patients want, as I have said before, is to get their life back to some sort of normality. Unfortunately for most of us, health is not valued until we actually lose it.
